MAGGONIL

Features

Several species of flies are commonly found around caged layer and breeder poultries. The most common species are the house flies. House flies and other flies do not cause direct injury to birds but they do transfer pathogens from bird to bird within a flock or from farm to farm. In poultry farms, houseflies constantly move between dirty areas with pathogens and clean areas, such as feed storage and animal housing. Due to this nature of movement, houseflies gets involved in the transmission of various types of diseases caused by bacteria, protozoan and viral parasites. These house flies lay eggs in large quantities on the poultry litter. Maggots or instar larvae pose threat to the litter management in poultries. Maggots by their natural movement, make the litter loose and there by emit ammonia and hydrogen sulphide. This causes not only respiratory discomforts to the birds but also decrease the feed intake. In view of this scenario, Sasya Bioremedies Pvt. Ltd., is manufacturing a biochemical product composed of various plant based extracts like neuropeptides, alkaloids and other organic substances. These compounds show enormous effects on life cycle of flies. Maggonil has a deleterious effect on flies and does not harm the birds. Maggonil is a blend of natural plant extracts, which by their systemic action, enter the body of the maggots through skin. Maggonil breaks the respiratory and digestive tracks of larvae and there by kills the larvae immediately. The enzymes & alkaloids present in the product convert ammonia present in the litter into nitrates which has deleterious effect on Maggots.
